
Our Mission
The District of Columbia Coalition for Community Services is a professional organization of Chief Executive Officers of entities providing supports and services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Coalition advocates for best practices in the quality of life for Washington, D.C. residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities by:
- Advocating for standards of practices
- Promoting opportunities for employment
- Promoting access to services, community integration and valued social roles for persons with disabilities
- Promoting personal, professional development, and industry growth through information exchanges and training.
- Educating legislators and District officials on issues relevant to membership
- Encouraging participation in the Coalition to broaden greater consensus in the field.
